Welcome to 2026!
Starting with 2026 we're making big changes to how Fortress is played, how cosmetics are earned, and our patch version naming format!
Version Name Formatting Changes
Previously, Our version names were formatted as [Season].[MajorPatch][SmallPatch], Which means season 9 would be v9.00, v9.10, v9.20, v9.30, v9.40, etc.
Now, we're formatting them as [Year].[PatchNumber] so our 2026 patches will be 26.00, 26.01, 26.02, 26.03, 26.04, etc.
Item Shop Deprecation
Starting on Tuesday, January 13th we're deprecating the Item Shop & replacing it with a rewards catalog!
Rewards Catalog
The rewards catalog is our replacement for the Item Shop, Releasing on Tuesday, January 13th
So, How is the rewards catalog going to work? Well on our first rotation you'll be able to see how many quests an item requires in order to claim it.
Pressing an offer in the rewards catalog will open the inspection screen like normal, Except now you'll see a "Begin Quests" button, After this button is pressed you'll be granted a quest bundle that is viewable in the "Quests" tab, The item in the shop will then show you how many quests you have to complete/have completed in the format "[Completed]/[Required] Met"
After you complete all requirements (e.g. quests) you can then press the "Claim" button in the rewards catalog, That will then grant you the item(s).
